Welcome to the City of Mandeville website. The information provided here is meant to provide you with some basic information about city services and city government. Mandeville has much to offer both residents and visitors alike. We are blessed to have incredible schools and friendly neighborhoods, a beautiful lakefront, and bayous, parks, walking paths, biking trails, restaurants, and shopping for every taste. I hope you find Mandeville as engaging and vibrant as I do. Our city government is continually vigilant in protecting our quality of life through maintaining and enhancing critical infrastructure, thoughtful planning, community public safety initiatives, and cultural development.

Mayor's Bio
Clay Madden is a Mandeville native. A product of Mandeville public schools and a 1998 graduate of Mandeville High School, Madden went on to obtain a B.A. in Political Science in 2002 followed by a Master's of Public Administration (M.P.A) in 2005 from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Returning to Mandeville in 2009 after a few years of working in various government affairs roles in and around the Louisiana State Capitol, Madden became reacquainted with life on the northshore. He became involved in the St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce, the Exchange Club of West St. Tammany, and graduated from Leadership St. Tammany in 2011. Also in 2011, Madden married the love of his life, Emily Rickert Madden. Madden first ran for Mandeville City Council At-Large in 2012 and was successful in being elected re-elected in 2016.
He served on the Board of Directors for the Council on Aging St. Tammany (COAST) and the Children's Advocacy Center (Hope House) while serving as a Mandeville City Councilman-at-Large from 2012 to 2020. Madden currently continues his lifelong membership at St. Timothy United Methodist Church.
In 2020, Clay was elected Mayor of Mandeville after a long election cycle. He ran on issues such as traffic, economic development and beautification, with the slogan of “Lead By Listening.” Clay and his wife, Emily, live in Mandeville and are here to stay. Clay and Emily have three children, Charlotte, Louise, and Bo. He loves his job and being involved in his community. When Clay has down-time, he enjoys LSU sports, reading, and cycling.
