NATIONAL NIGHT OUT AGAINST CRIME

On Tuesday, October 6, 2020, the Mandeville Police Department will be participating in National Night Out Against Crime.

If you are in the city limits of Mandeville and your neighborhood or HOA wishes to participate this year, and wants an officer to attend, please contact Officer Eddie Vanison at (985) 626-9711.

National Night Out is a time when the business and residential community can come together with its’ police department to visit, to talk about crime prevention, and address community sensitive issues that affect us all.

Because of Covid-19 concerns, we elected not to host our usual event at the Trailhead as it tends to draw huge crowds. Furthermore, considering many of our small businesses contribute money and resources to Night Out, and have been adversely impacted by this pandemic, the Mandeville Police Department does not wish to impose upon them, any additional financial burden. As part of the Covid-19 precautions, we also ask attendees to wear masks and practice social distancing.

“National Night Out Against Crime” is yet another welcome opportunity to further the mission of our police department with the end goal of preserving and defending our unique quality of life.”
