This popular "hot spot" is perfect for cooling off on long summer days.

Mandeville Trailhead Interactive Water Feature
Location:  East side of Mandeville Trailhead at Girod Street
Trailhead Depot Location:  675 Lafitte Street
Facility spans area from Lafitte Street to Girod Street between General Pershing and Woodrow

Neighborwoods
Location: 700 block of Garden Ave
At end of Garden Avenue in Beau Rivage Subdivision

Hours of Operation: Monday through Sunday - Sunrise to Sunset

Neighborwoods is an urban natural area designed for both recreational and environmental enhancement. This unique experience shows how urban natural areas within residential subdivisions can be used to filter and clean stormwater before it reaches our natural waterways. This park was funded through LDEQ and more scientific information can be obtained at http://www.comiteres.com/wa_tammany.asp .

When visiting Neighborwoods please remember the following Rules & Regulations:

In order to preserve and protect the sensitive nature of this woodland area and its inhabitants, and for your own personal safety, please stay on designated trails.
Trails are open to day hikers, pets, bicycles and wheeled conveyances used by handicapped persons. All other vehicles, please use provided parking.
Bicycles yield to non-motorized traffic.
To ensure that everyone's visit is pleasant, all City, Parish, and State laws and regulations must be followed. "Take nothing but pictures, and leave nothing but footprints."

Sunset Point and Fishing Pier

Due to recent freezing weather, the water supply at Sunset Point and Mandeville's Fishing Pier is temporarily out of service. 
 
Location: Massena Street At Lake Pontchartrain
Hours of Operation: Monday through Sunday
Open 24 hours

When visiting Mandeville's Fishing Pier, please remember the following Rules & Regulations:
No cast nets.
No traps.
No alcohol.
No littering.
No boat docking.
No pets.
No swimming or diving.
No sitting or climbing on railings.
No bicycles, skateboards, or other wheeled conveyances except those used by handicapped persons.
No glass containers.

This Park features:

  • Public Rest Rooms
  • Picnic Tables at Sunset Point
  • Water Connection at Fishing Pier for cleaning fish

Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation partners with the City of Mandeville in monitoring our Lake. For further information on the health of our waterways can be found on line at www.saveourlake.org.

Paul Cordes Park (City Hall Park)

Location: 3101 East Causeway Approach

Behind City Hall

This park features include:

  • Playground Equipment
  • Fenced "Tot" Yard
  • Pavilions with Picnic Tables
  • Public Rest Rooms
  • Drinking Fountains
  • Outside shower

Tyler Thomas Park (Lamarque Street)
Location: 600 block of Lamarque
Intersection of Livingston Street

This park features include:
Covered Basketball Court
Fenced playground equipment
Drinking Fountains

Hours of Operation: Monday - Sunday
The new playground equipment is installed at Tyler Thomas Park and the park is open to the public.

Mandeville Lakefront

Location: Lakeshore Drive At Lake Pontchartrain

Hours of Operation: Sunrise - 2:00am

NO FOOD OR DRINK ALLOWED

This linear park is the highlight of any visit to the City of Mandeville. Enjoy a beautiful view of Lake Pontchartrain while strolling along our seawall or relaxing under hundred year old live oaks.

This park features:Walking/jogging path
Gazebo at Carroll Street*
Playground equipment at Park Street
Park benches

Pets should be confined to a leash with the exception as described in City of Mandeville's Code of Ordinances Section 4-1, (10) as follows:

10) Restraint.An animal shall be deemed to be under restraint if it is securely enclosed in its owner's or custodian's property; or, if it is not enclosed in its owner's or custodian's property, then it is secured by a leash, lead or other means of restraint not harmful or injurious to the animal. Said leash, lead or other means of restraint is to be controlled by a responsible person capable of physically restraining the animal. As an exception, an animal shall be allowed to run without a leash or lead, under the supervision of a responsible person capable of physically restraining the animal, from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. along the lakefront from Ravine Aux Coquille to the west end of the lake.
