CITY OF MANDEVILLE

SEEKING APPLICANTS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:

Maintenance Worker I

Full-time 40 hours per week. Starting salary is $9.98 per hour. Must have a valid state driver’s license, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Maintenance Worker II - Water/Sewer & Buildings/Grounds

Full-time 40 hours per week. Starting salary is $10.69 per hour. Must have a valid state driver’s license, commercial driver’s license preferred, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and have two years or more related experience.

Electrical Technician 

Full-time 40 hours per week. Starting salary range starts at $16.91 per hour, pay commensurate with experience. Must have a valid state driver’s license, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and have five years journeyman-level work experience in repair and maintenance of high voltage (at least 480), PLC’s, VFD’s, motor control systems, electrical apparatus and industrial/plant equipment or more related experience.

 
Full-time 40 hours per week. Starting salary range starts at $17.53 per hour, pay commensurate with experience. Must have a valid state driver’s license, commercial driver’s license preferred, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and have seven years or more related experience.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS:

Majority of health and dental insurance for employee and dependents paid by the City, includes employee life insurance of up to $15,000.

• Excellent retirement benefits paid by the City through the Louisiana Municipal Employees Retirement System.

• Up to 14 paid holidays per year, up to 11 vacation days in the first year.

ETHICS TRAINING 
Louisiana Revised Statute 42:1170, requires all public employees complete one hour of training on the Code of Governmental Ethics each calendar year. Each City of Mandeville employee and official must complete the required ethics training each calendar year.

SEXUAL HARASSMENT TRAINING
In the Louisiana Senate Concurrent Resolution 107 passed in 2012, the Louisiana Senate resolved that all state agencies should provide one hour of sexual harassment training to each public employee and official each calendar year. Each City of Mandeville employee and official must complete the statutorily mandated sexual harassment training each calendar year.
