The City of Mandeville accepting qualifications for a contract Position:

Keep Mandeville Beautiful (KMB) Program Coordinator

 

Scope of Duties

 

The city of Mandeville is searching for a person to direct the efforts of Keep Mandeville Beautiful Program.  The person should have excellent organizational and presentation skills, have experience in directing board and volunteer efforts to achieve the goals relating to Keep Louisiana Beautiful and utilize their creativity and personal skills to develop, educate and implement litter abatement, recycle and beautification programs for the city of Mandeville.

Specific task include but are not limited to:

 

  Directing and Coordinating KMB and its activities.

 

  Develop membership and sponsorship materials.

 

  Develop fundraising plan with Board members.

 

  Maintain records of all KMB activities, publications, and publicity.

 

  Administering Keep America Beautiful (KAB) requirements.

 

  Preparing and filing KAB and KMB reports.

 

  Representing the City of Mandeville at state and national Keep

America Beautiful conferences and meetings as budget permits.

 

  Developing and managing program with KMB Board.

 

  Exploring and applying for additional financial resources.

 

  Recruiting and retaining volunteer membership.

 

  Conducting volunteer training.

 

  Coordinating volunteers for planning and implementing key events and programs.

 

  Providing press releases to media and other appropriate local, state, and national publications.

 

Meeting with local business leaders and civic groups to enlist support and participation in KMB program.

 

Computer Skills - must have working knowledge of MS WORD and EXCEL.

 

  Contract Amount: Not to exceed $30,000 for one year.

 ETHICS TRAINING 

Louisiana Revised Statute 42:1170, requires all public employees complete one hour of training on the Code of Governmental Ethics each calendar year. Each City of Mandeville employee and official must complete the required ethics training each calendar year.

  SEXUAL HARASSMENT TRAINING 

In the Louisiana Senate Concurrent Resolution 107 passed in 2012, the Louisiana Senate resolved that all state agencies should provide one hour of sexual harassment training to each public employee and official each calendar year. Each City of Mandeville employee and official must complete the statutorily mandated sexual harassment training each calendar year.
